InMode Introduces Morpheus8 Body Multi-pulse Burst Technology
Morpheus8 Body is the first and only FDA-cleared technology to provide deep 8mm subdermal adipose tissue remodelling. Equipped with Burst mode RF technology, Morpheus8 Body automatically deploys bipolar RF energy to multi-level treatment depths in a single cycle. The flexibility to focus on tissue sequentially at three ranges allows for a significant reduction in treatment time, minimizes skin injury, increases treatment uniformity, and provides customized full body fractional procedures. With this device, physicians can treat large tissue areas at the deepest levels of RF available. “Morpheus8 Burst RF expertise was predicated on the ideas of the Vulcanization Course for cross linking rubber molecules to enhance elasticity and tensile energy,” says Dr Spero Theodorou, bodySCULPT plastic surgeon and InMode’s Chief Medical Officer.
Plume Effect of Fractional Radiofrequency Vs Laser Resurfacing
The study "Plume Effect of Fractional Radiofrequency Versus Laser Resurfacing: Considerations in the COVID‐19 Pandemic" by Erez Dayan, MD, Spero Theodorou, MD, A Jay Burns, MD, Bruce Katz, MD, and Jeffrey S. Dover, MD, FRCPC has been published in the peer-reviewed journal Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, that publishes the highest quality research and clinical manuscripts related to the use of lasers in medicine and biology.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate plume characteristics of the Sciton Joule Er:YAG laser ablative resurfacing device and fractional radiofrequency InMode Morpheus8.
Safety and Efficacy of Radiofrequency in Aesthetic Applications
PRS Global Open recently carried the study "Aesthetic Applications of Radiofrequency: Lymphatic and Perfusion Assessment" by Erez Dayan, MD, Spero Theodorou, MD, Rod J. Rohrich, MD, A. Jay Burns (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery – Global Open2020 Oct 26;8 (10): e3193).
Spero J. Theodorou, MD (bodySCULPT plastic surgeon) is one of the authors. The study aimed to objectively evaluate perfusion and lymphatic assessment tools pre- and post- bipolar and fractional RF treatment. The findings support the safety of radiofrequency (RF) treatment in terms of preservation of tissue perfusion and lymphatic drainage.
